📦 Product Introduction
The ICS Triplex T9110 is a Triple-Modular Redundant (TMR) main processor module designed for the Triconex safety instrumented system (SIS). It serves as the central brain of the safety controller, executing safety logic, processing I/O data, and ensuring fault-tolerant operation in mission-critical industrial environments.
As part of the older generation Triconex platform, the T9110 was widely deployed in the 1990s and early 2000s in industries such as oil & gas, chemical processing, power generation, and refining. It runs safety programs developed in Tristation 1131 (Version 3.x or earlier) and supports Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagrams, and Statement List programming.
Each T9110 system uses three identical processors operating in parallel. Inputs are voted across all three CPUs, logic is executed simultaneously, and outputs are synchronized with real-time comparison. This TMR architecture ensures that the system continues to operate safely even if one CPU fails — a key requirement for SIL 3 applications.
⚠️ Note: The T9110 is legacy/obsolete and has been superseded by newer models such as T8110B, T8300, and T8311. However, many T9110 systems remain in service due to their proven reliability.
